RESULTS IN FROM THE ISLE OF MAN POSITION AMAVEN AS A SUCCESS
Amaven is being piloted in a selection of primary schools across the Isle of Man with early results showing an big improvement in movement and fitness in the children taking part.
The children, from classes ranging from reception to year six across six schools, had their movement and fitness levels tested at the beginning of September, before taking part in the programme, and again six weeks later, just before the half-term break in October, to measure the results.
The results have shown an average improved movement of 28.7 % and an average improved fitness of 7.1 % supporting Amaven’s promise to make a real and positive impact on the physical literacy of every child who takes part in the programme.
All of the schools involved have agreed to continue to use the programme and pupil participants will be retested at the end of the first term of the current school year.
