Under the new framework, OFSTED inspectors will assess how effectively schools are using the Primary PE and Sport Premium and measure the impact it is having on the outcome of pupils. Schools are required to use the funding to make sustainable and additional improvements to the quality of PE and sports that they provide. They must also publish details about how they are spending the funding on the school website, in addition to reporting it to OFSTED, the board of governors and to the parents.
