The Demands of Sport

To play sport at the highest level requires that each athlete can meet the demands of the game.  

Most sports are highly-dynamic that require the athlete to have a good aerobic/anaerobic capacity, along with other physical qualities.  These physical qualities and performance characteristics, include 

  • High-speed running 

  • Accelerations 

  • Decelerations 

  • A range of jumping actions 

  • Landing strategies 

  • Cutting and agility movements 

Through regular strength and conditioning training, this can prepare each athlete to be sport ready and meet the demands of the game.  By being prepared for their sport, athletes can play with confidence and express their individual qualities in the game - Improvements in recovery between phases of play, better cutting and agility, and making more sprints to influence the game.

Test and Monitor Athlete Physical Development

It is essentail that we monitor the long-term development of our athletes. 

The Youth Strength and Conditioning Platform helps coaches to track and monitor their athletes.

Strength, Speed, Agility, & Plyometric Training

The Youth Strength & Conditioning app empowers each youth athlete to regularly perform their strength and conditioning training. 

Strength and conditioning programmes are fully automated to save time.   Each programme consists of a range of exercises, including neuromuscular training.  Athletes can watch the exercise and drills, which demonstrate optimal form and technique. 

Athletes can upload the repetitions, training loads, and effort level, which is synched to the coach’s portal, allowing the coach to analyse training volume and adherence.

Reduce the Risk of Overtraining, Burnout, and Overuse Injuries

The injury rates in youth and adolescent athletes are incresaing, with most injuries being classified as overuse or sport-related injuries

A general lock of preparation and/or high volumes of sports training (training and competition) can place the athletes at a higher risk of overtraining, feelings of burnout, and sustaining an injury. 

Created for the athlete, the athletes can complete weekly recovery questionnaires that monitor key areas.

We have created a library of resources to help coaches in their delivery of strength and conditioning. 

Medium term planning support coaches to organise blocks of training for their athletes.

Full Youth Strength & Conditioning Curriculum

Strength and conditioing is a central component of a long-term athlete development programme. 

To help youth athletes to reach their potential, it is essential that the athletes develop a range of highly trainable physical capacities and motor skills - strength, power, agility, acceleration, speed, and reactive strength.

Through developing these physical capacities, each athlete will be prepared for the demands of the sport - reducing the risk injury and improving sporting performances.
